A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN EXPECTED and here's how.On May 30th our side by side refrigerator died at night and had a mess on the floor the next day. 2 of our sons got the refrigerator moved outside and put into our truck. I was going to go to the landfill and dump it myself. David, sent me a text to call 1-800-Got-Junk with a coupon code. Plus, he said this way dad you don't you don't do it. (I've had 4 heart attacks & heart is 30-40% dead) but I push myself & keep going. Anyway, I agreed and called and I talked with Josh first and we got everything set up. Then, later I got a call from our oldest son who had to go to a job, not scheduled, and asked if I could babysit. I said yes. NOW WHAT? I called 1-800-Got -Junk again to reschedule and a lady answered. I explained the issue and she asked me to hold on. Her boss said a truck was leaving a site, and was close by and they would there in 10-15 minutes. I agreed, because the time would work perfect to get the refrigerator gone and me be on time to babysit. Within 10 minutes, A 1-800-Got-Junk drives up to the house. I had parked my truck with the refrigerator pointing down the street, NOW HERE IS WHERE IT REALLY GETS INTERESTING. I go outside to meet the guys and help, and there 1 person. His name is ADRIAN. Now, it took 2 of my sons to get this refrigerator OUT and ALL 3 of our sons are big and strong. I see Adrian and he is a slim built guy, very polite, but not someone to move a refrigerator by himself---NO WAY! WELL, I WAS WRONG! I asked Adrian "Where's your help?" and his reply was "he's doing some runs too, but no problem" I told him "NO WAY---this took 2 of my sons to move this thing and get it in the truck, there's NO WAY YOU CAN DO THIS YOURSELF." (I WISH I WOULD HAVE VIDEOED THIS TO SHOW WHAT I SAW HIM DO. ) Adrian then said he had to move some things to make some room. He opens his door & there are these big washer/dryer front loaded in the way. Adrian asked me to stand back just in case, so I stepped back, Adrian said he needed to rearrange a couple of things to get the refrigerator in. He picks up this dryer and puts it on top of another dryer (and these are not light)! ALL BY HIMSELF! I WAS LOOKING AT A "Miniature Hulk" But, the same size as the guy who was human, when not the Hulk --- I COULD NOT BELEVIE WHAT I WAS SEEING. When he made the room needed he asked me "could back your truck back to my truck and it can be easier and safer." OK, I did. Adrian was outside while I was backing up slowly and he would let me know when to stop. I backed up slowly and when he put his hand up as stop, I did, and the trucks met less than a 10 inch gap. I told Adrian I'll help and his statement to me was "NO Sir, you just stay back and safe, I can get it myself" NOW, REMEMBER I SAID "This took 2 of our sons got the refrigerator moved outside and put into our truck." Adrian jumps up into the bed of my truck, with the dead refrigerator laying down on its back, with the doors shut. Adrian pushes this heavy refrigerator to the end of his truck---and LIFTS ITS LIKE A LIFTING A LADDER UP---THE BOTTOM WAS SET IN HIS TRUCK AND WHEN HE STARTING LIFTING FROM THE TOP, HE WAS PUSHING IT AND IT WAS LIFTING UP AND STANDING AND THE REFRIGERATOR STOOD UP INSIDE HIS TRUCK! DUH---I just saw Adrain, who looks like a normal size person do a HULK & THE ROCK LIFT, as if it was nothing! I CAN GUARANTEE that was not as easy as he made it look and do as FAST AND PROFESSIONAL AS HE DID. ALL I know is this:You see the TV Commercials of 1-800- Got-Junk, BUT I always figured yeah they're actors, you won't get good service when needed, as fast as that and gone.WELL, I WAS 100% WRONG! YOU GET BETTER! And the next time I need things removed I intend to get Adrian. I also want to THANK ADRIAN FOR HIS FAST & EXCELLENT SERVICE AND THE PEOPLE WHO I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE. Unexpected things happen EVERYDAY, just like when I made the appointment for 1-800-Got-Junk. I had no plans to go babysit 5 of our 8 Grandkids, But, instead of pushing it aside, 1-800-Got-Junk worked with me to get that dead refrigerator as promised---and they did.If I was a big boss or owner of 1-800-Got-Junk I'd get the full report and Josh, the 2nd lady I talked to, and her boss, $100 bonus for getting everything to work as planned and give Adrian a $200 Bonus FOR EXCELLENCE SREVICE AND DOING A TOP NOTCH JOB., that should take 2 people do! He deserves a raise too!THANKS YOU ALL WHO WERE INVOLVED IN GETTING THIS DONE AND ACCOMPLISHED.Keep the good workMark
