“The Mysterious Yellow Fiat”!! So, my daughters 2014 Fiat had been a great car since she first got it. Not a thing had gone wrong. Then she got rear ended in January 19’ and it took 4 months to fix as the VIN on the car does not match the car. Then 2 weeks ago she got in it and it started making noises as the transmission light came on, then engine light, then It would not drive. Well my father always told me when you have a tranny problem, you take it to the tranny experts. The stars we’re aligned as we had rented a vacation home in Pompano and there was an AAMCO less than a mile from us. Call tow truck and head over there. The folks greet you with warm smiles and understanding which is comforting considering your car will not drive and you know $$$$ is leaving your wallet for sure. Due to technology it took the gang at AAMCO a few days to decipher the strange codes the computers were giving them. End result was we needed a rebuilt tranny. My daughters heart sunk as I told her this is a huge investment in an older car, but she offer to pay 75% of the repairs ( every dime she made this summer) just to get her car back. I have Lou and the gang the green light and we scheduled a pick up date. Come pick up day and I call Lou to confirm and low and behold the mystery FIAT struck again. The VIN they used to order a tranny had a unit delivered that was a completely different setup from the original. The AAMCO team went into salvage mode and used some parts they had from Previous FIAT tranny replacements and strapped together enough components to get it working. They even had the programmer to rework the computer come in after hours knowing that my pickup date was firm as my daughter had to go back to college the next day. I picked up my daughter car and wound up only being charged for the parts and labor (and programming ) rather than a complete rebuilt tranny. I cannot even express the amount of savings and relief myself and daughter experienced. Where have you ever heard of that when car repair is involved? I have owned maybe 20 cars in my like and I have not seen or heard of that. In closing if you have car troubles (especially tranny issues), you would be robbing yourself for not checking in with Lou and the gang first. Professional, knowledgeable and honest! What more could you ask for. Thanks Team AAMCO for everything and especially for getting “SUNNY” the Mysterious Yellow FIAT back on the road. BT
