While my only complaint is that car maintenance is WAY TOO expensive, anywhere you go, the AAMCO on Blanding is awesome!Diane goes above & beyond! Great service, great people! I am now a loyal customer!

I came in on a Saturday to have a transmission leak fixed; I had just recently had it swapped with a different mechanic. I spoke with tony, and quoted me what I think was a reasonable amount for a seal that was damaged, he also suggested I had my CV axel replaced since the boot was torn. His mechanic physically showed me the damage, and I knew about it because I had taken off the rim to clean it earlier that week and noticed the rip. They offered me to install a new one at no additional labor cost; I just had to buy the part (I was going to do the work myself). I waited about 3 hours for the work to get done but it was b/c Napa was late with the part (not Aamco's fault). Tony sat there with me as I waited for my car to be finished. Keep in mind this was a Saturday, and they normally close at 1pm, it was 1:40pm when I got my car back. I was more than satisfied with the job they performed. I had another problem with my car it was leaking oil from the head gasket and had smoke with oil coming out of the tailpipe; I kind of got a verbal estimate on what damage would be, but I guess that didnt include the labor costs. He said he would give me a written quote but the quote I got was a somewhat more than what I had in mind, thats not including the additional cost of other parts that may need replacing that could run in the hundreds. I was told what was being done to the car and it seemed fair. The problem was and still is, trying to come up with that type of money. Keep in mind that the engine is being serviced and machined from the block up. I drive a 97 Honda prelude and would recommend them despite some of the negative things I read online. From my personal experience they seemed very honest.

Diane and Tony are the most professional and personable service related people I have ever encounterd. They inpressed me so I had the service manager of my company go with me to inspect the problems with my truck prior to repair to see fisrt hand thier business practices. If they were not 1 hour from my home they would do all my auto services.
