Recently, my 2004 Ion Redline was acting up under full throttle and when the Tachometer reached around 5,000RPM. The car would put it's self into a limp mode, and rarely ran decently for more than a few days. After trying everything I could to fix it myself, I ended up taking my car to the AAMCO on Blanding Blvd in Orange Park, FL. Originally I thought it might be just a dirty Throttle Body causing the sensors to act up. However, after running diagnostics on the car, Dianna and her crew found that not only was the Mass Air Flow sensor bad, but some of the wiring was causing the computer to get confused and produce errors. They quickly fixed the original problem that I had brought the car in for, but they noticed that the car still wasn't running quite right. Turns out the car needed a new clutch. It was so bad that it was almost to the point of ruining the transmission. I received the call about the transmission and after getting the OK to order the parts, AAMCO quickly ordered a GM Performance clutch and got it installed right away, along with new front rotors to fix my small braking issue. Overall I saved a ton of money and my car was done quickly and on time. I am very pleased with work that was done with my prized performance car. I would recommend this company, and definitely this store to anyone who needs work done on their cars. I know I will be taking my car back if it ever needs work again!
