Dr. Liu's pace of operation is faster than most. Yes, I am senior (age 72) but not slow, as one reading this review may think. I felt her "impatience" throughout the visit; manifested by curt comments and actions. I value directness, but feltSome civility would also go a long way toward first impressions. She did not introduce herself to me, a new customer, before starting the examination.A bigger issue was the recommended treatment plan-- different from any I've previously had--and not covered by my insurance plan. I understand there may be differences of opinion among dentist about what is appropriate, but did not care for the reference to me as not having a "healthy mouth." I was informed by the dental assistant that a prophylaxis cleaning involved ONLY polishing and no scaling, which has not been my experience. I was informed by the insurance coordinator that the type of cleaning prescribed in my treatment plan was required because my mouth was diseased; yet the doctor did not explain or even reference this disease during her exam.Professional respect--a modicum of trust--was not established.
