Moving here was a landing spot for me as I navigate a life transition. I think I may be one of the youngest people living here! I am planning to purchase a home, as I have a good 20 active years ahead of me and like to have a garage to do woodworking in. My plan is to live here for 14 months, then buy a house in the area.I do wish the windows would've been washed inside and out when I moved in. The glass itself was clean on inside, but the exterior and tracks of window were not. I also noticed that the stairwells need attention, cobwebs, dusty floors, I am in bldg 6 which was recently completed but I am surprised there wasn't more cleaning done in the stairway - I use it daily for several weeks now and it is just as dirty as it was when I moved in - esp. in the corner stairway that is closet to the outside dumpster area. However other than those 2 things, this place is great. Friendly staff, nice amenity areas, people are friendly. I feel safe and comfortable here.

My maintenance request has not been fulfilled. It’s it is the same request. I have been making for months. I keep getting told we are working on it, but nothing happens. My request is for moving the gate on my patio to the side where I can step down more easily Where it is now is a very dangerous step down of several feet and I cannot use it to get to the parking area. It is too dangerous. No other apartment on the first floor has a step down like this corner one most of them open to a grassy area. If you move by gate to the side, I will step down to a grassy area and a path to the sidewalk.. you have been replacing railings all over the area for safety and I would appreciate being safe

I moved from one Sparrow property to Pflugerville and loved my communities, until recently. The rules don’t apply to every resident. Management seems to be intimated by certain individuals so they chose to avoid confrontation and let those individuals break rules with no consequences. Or, the resident is well liked so they don’t want to be the bad guys. Our lease says no smoking, including vaping, on the property but people smoke/vape on their balconies, in their cars, at the pool. No puppies under a year old yet I’m aware of three residents who had puppies. No more than two animals, yet a couple of units currently have three dogs. No extended leashes, dogs have to be on a leash, unless inside the dog park, yet certain people break those rules. There are rules about what can and can’t be stored on the balconies/patios yet, we have coolers, bicycles, storage bins, junk. Decorations and furniture in hallway doorways is overflowing into the hallways. If every unit decides to decorate out into the halls, it will cause life safety issues when EMS is needed. Outside doors don’t latch shut. People leave entrance doors ajar so they can get food or packages delivered. That’s a safety concern because we’ve had strangers walking our halls and entering apartments. Management doesn’t walk the property or even drive around to check things. They park in front, walk in their office and close their doors. Coming from the corporate world, it’s hard to see staff playing pickleball and participating in water aerobics and other activities during work hours when they could be using that time to complete maintenance requests or walking the property and hallways. As you can see, there are multiple issues that caused me to realize Amberlin just wasn’t a good fit for me anymore.
