When I first moved in there had been weekly issues with the water- them needing to do repairs and consequently there being no hot water for the bulk of the day. That seems to be better nowHowever, water pressure is annoyingly low. (Esp at the kitchen sink) and it takes FOREVER for us to get hot water. I have now resorted to putting every dish in the dishwasher and forgoing washing anything by hand because waiting a solid 8 mins to actually get hot water just feels wastefulThe newest issue is the security gates that control access into the resident parking structures have been broken and left open for a solid month, and there seems to be no urgency to fix them. So now they just sit open 24/7 for anyone to come and go as they please. In general the facility is nice, but there seems to be less urgency to get things repaired lately compared to when I first moved in

The dog poop in the basement really needs to stop. It is gross, unsanitary and it never gets picked up. I’ve complained now 3 times and nothing changes.

Emely was incredibly thorough during the tour.I really appreciated that it wasn’t a self-guided experience — having someone there to walk me through everything and answer questions made a big difference. It felt personal and informative!

When we first signed our lease, they mentioned only 1 parking spot was available to 1 bedroom apartments & were very transparent about spending $100 additional each month to rent an extra parking spot. What they wete not transparent about was a waitlist, or that one of us would need to park close to a quater mile away from the apartments in order to avoid being towed. Im very understanding. But, when bringing the concern to the office manager, the attitude was “this is our policy, tough luck” I understand the policy. But my husband and I have very conflicting schedules. He is in the US Navy and cannot be seen outside of base in uniform as it’s against his regulations and works very early in the AM and cannot be seen walking a quater of a mile to his car. Next best option is for me to park across the street but I work later PM (3-11pm). As a female, I wouldn’t prefer walking a quater of a mile to my apartment close to midnight each night I work. Not to mention, some nights there is absolutely NO parking down the street so sometimes Im SOL. We signed our lease in August and are still currently on a “waitlist” to see if we can get an additional parking spot. Almost close to a year to still pay $100 extra each month. Needless to say, we would upgrade to a two bedroom JUST for a parking spot but we don’t need two bedrooms. Ive brought up the issue several times to management in the office and they could care less. In addition, I did ask about potentially adding more guest parking passes and they said no because they’d rather prioritize the guests of the tenants and not the actual tenants that pay to live here. We get 10 days out of each month one of us is able to park in the guest parking. Aside from the terrible parking and the lack of urgency from the Apex management, we would love to renew our lease because we really do love the apartments and the community. But we are unsure and leaning towards not renewing our lease simply because we cannot get 1 parking spot or even more guest passes. I simply would never recommend an apartment complex to any friends, coworkers or family of mine that forces you to park a quater of a mile away if they have two cars per household. My hope is that the Apex is able to mitigate the situation in regards to the parking.
