We have a few concerns however I feel it's most likely a waste of time to discuss.... Overall we don't regret moving here but also wouldn't recommend to friends & family. 1) Windows and patio doors don't seal properly; clearly audible whistling even when only slightly windy. 2) windows are of poor quality - sash is loose within the frame so comes off the track and difficult to open/close/lock. 3) door locks are installed randomly with "locked" and "unlocked" not uniform so you can't tell at a glance if open or locked. 4) Bathroom laundry hamper doors are installed upside down and overall kitchen & bathroom cabinets are too high. 5) for a building that was constructed to be 62+, there are some unsafe/comfort issues in public areas too: Slanted walkway ramps in 1st floor hallway; floors near hallway fire doors are uneven. No safety rails in hallways & elevators. All but 1 outside access doors are only manual open without an electronic push plate. 6) lots of unnecessary red tape/long wait time (some disguised as ADA accommodations) for items that should come standard. Ex: bathroom safety grab bars & lower peepholes. Apt 409, Multiple verbal requests, written work order request and doctor letter ignored so far 4+ weeks.

After having a house of my own with plenty of space and privacy to entertain family and friends for almost 40 years, my apartment/condo/apartment home rentals these past 12 years here in the Austin area just don't feel like "home".

Everyone complains about the acoustics in the club house. It is awful. Even small groups can create loud noises and big groups are really hard to hear other than someone very close. I am one that does not have hearing aids but many do and they have a terrible time hearing when there arelarge functions. I would also like for night functions to start at 5. 4:30 is very early for many of us.

Not all residents have accessibility to pool because of pool chair lift has been broken and repairs have not been sufficient & needs to be replaced with one the can accommodate 400 pounds.Yearly maintenance for balcony , patio and windows cleaned. Also hallway doors. In club room the sound level is deafening at even small gatherings desperately needs to have the sometime done for the reverberation

We need a dedicated exercise class room. I wish Arborview would sponsor some off-property outings for residents. Many people would be interested and willing to pay a reasonable amount. Rents seem to be increasing more than the average in Austin. New Over 55 Active Adult housing is continuing to become more available in the area every yesr

As usual, maintenance requests are handled in a timely and professional manner...they do good work.
