Living here has been good for me in many ways, even my old friends notice the improvement in my general well-being. I also feel like I bring a little something extra to my friends and neighbors with my music. The staff is friendly and caring, the general atmosphere here is one of an affable, shared community.

I’m happy with my apartment, the location, the staff, and the many friends I’ve made here. There aren’t as many of the amenities available to us as there were when I rented the apartment in 2021. Also, this is billed as an active community, which is what brought me here. However, it’s looking more and more like an assisted living residence. I understand you don’t always meet the residents before they move in. However, I feel like you could impress upon the relatives that there is not 24/7 care here and that their family member is on their own in the case of an emergency…like a fire. I don’t think you should avoid stressing this fact just to raise the census. I worked in Estate Planning for 34 years and I understand HIPPA rules. There is no rule against telling the family that this is not a “care” facility. The rest of us did not sign up for that. Thanks.

I am very happy but I have some concerns ! I live in a one bedroom apartment! I live on first floor by an outside door which I hear constant opening and closing! I also have no outside closets for storage like others have! My electric bill is higher than most because I don’t have a cover for my patio like most so in winter it is very cold and summer it is very hot do! I am afraid of increasing rent

As a longtime resident, my certified therapeutic massage services have been incredibly helpful to our in-house residents. (Management can confirm.) I’ve become a useful member to this community. I only accept a tip (if offered) as I pledge my service to help others. I’d therefore be grateful if you would keep my rent as is, bearing in mind I also have to maintain my apartment back in LA where I spend some 4 months every year away from Arbor View. My gratitude comes from seeing the benefit and appreciation members gain from my service as well as our staff whom I encourage to stay fit and healthy with my voluntary service. Please note I promote our good service to my friends near and far and I’d like to continue with my life journey here at Arbor View. Thanks. Bibi Chapman.

We have a few concerns however I feel it's most likely a waste of time to discuss.... Overall we don't regret moving here but also wouldn't recommend to friends & family. 1) Windows and patio doors don't seal properly; clearly audible whistling even when only slightly windy. 2) windows are of poor quality - sash is loose within the frame so comes off the track and difficult to open/close/lock. 3) door locks are installed randomly with "locked" and "unlocked" not uniform so you can't tell at a glance if open or locked. 4) Bathroom laundry hamper doors are installed upside down and overall kitchen & bathroom cabinets are too high. 5) for a building that was constructed to be 62+, there are some unsafe/comfort issues in public areas too: Slanted walkway ramps in 1st floor hallway; floors near hallway fire doors are uneven. No safety rails in hallways & elevators. All but 1 outside access doors are only manual open without an electronic push plate. 6) lots of unnecessary red tape/long wait time (some disguised as ADA accommodations) for items that should come standard. Ex: bathroom safety grab bars & lower peepholes. Apt 409, Multiple verbal requests, written work order request and doctor letter ignored so far 4+ weeks.
