Unexpected issue - was treated well and kept informed.

The service rep Roy was awesome this is the third time in 4 years that I have brought my 2017 A7 into the dealership for service. Bought the car 4 years ago with 26,000 miles and have had the annual service done since. Car has 62k miles on it. This service required some warranty repairs water pump case crank valve that I thought were fully covered by my extended warranty through Endurance. To my surprise the warranty would not cover OEM parts if aftermarket parts were available and certified in addition they had a limit on the hourly labor rate. Roy was outstanding and working with me on the overall cost to the extent available. While the warranty company only covered half of the cost for the repair those items I was very pleased with Roy's ability to at least mitigate someone to Total out-of-pocket cost for me. I had other repairs that were done normal wear and tear brakes and then the annual service and a wheel alignment. So my total bill was pretty high but as far as the warranty items I was very happy with the extent that Roy went to and trying to lower the overall cost.
