rear passenger side shocker absorber failed what could be the cause

The technician did not know how to properly diagnose my problem. I took it to a mechanic. the very next day did not have to pay any diagnosis fee, and they were able to see my problem right away, just by simply put in their finger in the muffler and seeing the oil. According to your technician all I needed was an oil change after I told him there was an oil consumption issue. He did not know how to properly diagnose the issue when I need an entirely new motor.
