The resident WiFi doesn’t work well in the gym/ common areas

Overall, Avel was a great place to live, but we had to move for personal reasons and some issues at the apartments. One reason was that our roommates moved out and we needed to downsize. Another was the weed smell. For a place that claims to be a non-smoking community, there was weed and cigarette smell everywhere. All the time. There was security patrol that would knock on doors about noise complaints etc but no one ever did anything about the smoking. When we moved in, we were promised it was a no-smoking community and that it was enforced. I never saw it being enforced, and my sister and I both have asthma and sensitivity to smell so it was constantly affecting us. We couldn’t even leave our windows open for a breeze without being hit by a cloud of smoke. I’m just upset by the fact that this was never enforced

Very clean community and staff make you feel welcomed as they answer any questions you may have. Beautiful property over all with a lot of security and safety.

Has good guest parking, gives 2 parking spots with a 2 bedroom, good customer service and I am looking forwad to applying to live here in the coming months. It looks like a quiet community which is hard to find. It is what I am looking for.

The move out process was easy and team was very helpful. My experience living at Avel was good. But there were some issues. First was our upstairs neighbors living in 509. Incredibly loud at all times. My wife and I both work from home and noise never ended morning or night. I don’t know how many people live in that unit but it sounds like a lot more than 2 people. The second issue was the noise coming from the street and the trash truck. Extremely frustrating as the trash came every day, made tons of noise and smelled awful if we had a window open.
