Most of my prescriptions are low-cost generics, so I don't have much of an opinion.

Lower drug costs for out of pocket

My wife was prescribed Mounjaro by her endocrinologist at her first visit. AHP denied it as a covered benefit, though the drug it did approve (Farxiga) is about the same cost to the health plan as the medication that was not approved. Perhaps I am mistaken about the costs, but that line of thinking makes no sense to me if accurate. She did not tolerate the Farxiga due to recurrent yeast infections and the endocrinologist resubmitted the Rx for approval this week which is pending, so I hope it is approved by the health plan this time.

I don’t have a choice of where to get my diabetic shots. I have to go through specialty pharmacy even though the pharmacy I use in town also has it. The app said I could use hyvee pharmacy with a copay as little as $0 . It all changed after I got the prescription. No choice of where to get it and copay $95 which is a higher copay than my previous prescription.

It's fine as is.
