The only thing I would change is the scheduling. It needs to be mobile for convenience. Constantly having to ask when I work is a lot when you have multiple jobs and going to school.

Consistency is key

Very unprofessional place and work environment.

Happy to see that there will be a program starting this year that acknowledges staff and their longevity working in the community. Reminding staff that their presence and hard work doesn't go unnoticed is important for staff morale.

Communication could be better in all areas. On the community level we are getting directions from different areas and are unsure of how to proceed. What we are being told is support does not always feel like support but another supervisor.I would like to have a more organized day to day as we are on calls a lot and have a higher work load than time to accomplish what our responsibilities allow.Aware of all business goings in the community and not having decisions made without knowledge would help also, as these decisions can change day to day operations in the community.

Atlanta, Ga Check out Claiborne at West Cobb Memory Home....

Staffing shortages (wages) affects quality of care, cost of living (competitive rates), foodHard to say, things have changed-staff and residents used to be really close but with the constant changes/turnovers in staffing new relationships are having to be rebuilt and trust is having to be re-established. Residents like consistency and although we are always wanting to do what's best for the community when it comes to having the best staff in the building and having people who genuinely care for residents....it doesn't make it easy for them to get used to new faces. We have to be more thorough with hiring and doing what's best for our residents, bringing in people who are passionate about caring for others is what's most important because they are more inclined to stay around for the long haul.
