I wanted to bring up an issue with the material/paint used on the kitchen countertop. It’s extremely difficult to clean, stains easily, and isn’t heat-resistant. Even everyday items leave marks—for example, simply placing a cardboard box on the counter results in an imprint of the cardboard outline (yes! the outline of the cardboard box resulted in the countertop leaving a mark!), and a coffee cup left a permanent ring despite my immediate efforts to clean it with both a wet rag and an alcohol-based cleaner. The material is also very sticky and any dish I set on the counter will want to cling to the surface. Additionally, the surface seems to react poorly to heat. When placing a pot on the counter, the material/paint transfers onto the pot, which is concerning. Given these challenges, I’d appreciate any guidance on how to better maintain the countertop or whether there are any potential solutions to address these issues. Thanks!

Fast response to questions and issues in the apartment. Kind and reliable

Working with Casey from Cal-Western was absolutely a pleasure. However, I have one request that Cal-Western also take the time to make sure the tenants do not wreak havoc on others. At 74 S 8th St., tenants from apartment 1 and 2 deliberately park their cars (laterally) so as to block multiple parking spots for their family members. Such behavior must be reprimanded. I have also sent email with pictures of how these tenants park their car laterally. Please take the time to discipline tenants as needed. I can say that the younger college going tenants behave better than adults.

The timing of my move over the Christmas Holidays was stressful and Heather handled all the many details so easily and with a smile. I would recommend Cal-Western to anyone and everyone and they would be extra lucky if they got Heather!

There is an outstanding repair that was not completed before we moved in. It's understandable because it was right around the holidays.

Grace Selgado worked with me since 2018. My uncle had medical issues and I needed to help him with his affairs. She was so helpful, always took time to talk, returned my calls and emails promptly. She was always in contact with me on any state, county changes, regulations and any issues I needed to tend to. She was awesome Once my uncle passed 6 years later, she continued to help me through the process. We sold the property and during that time was so so helpful with turning things over to the new owner etc. I recommend her and the company if you’re looking into property management companies. She’s also become a good friend.

Smoothest & easiest Move I’ve ever done everything was perfect and way better then could imagined and let me tell ya I’ve moved quite a bit in my life time and 3 times this year and each time was such a pleasure to have such a wonderful move once again thanks to the wonderful team of Property managers.
