I purchased BMW R1250GS 2021, AP21 KBB in June 2025.During the purchase it was stated that the motorcycle had / would have an MOT valid to July 2026.I collected the bike and had to return several days later as the Notice of transfer had not been received and I taxed it on 13th June 2025.In November 2025 I was informed that the motorbike did not have a certificate of roadworthiness having expired in July 2025.I booked the MOT on 12/11/25 for 15/11/25 and contacted Local Sales to make them aware.I appreciate that they organised a workshop inspection for the 14th, I then attended Balmoral on the 15th with the bike successfully passing the MOT, however, the inspection and valid MOT was something that I was expecting as part of the purchase. The local Dealer has agreed to repay the cost of the MOT £34.00.I would note the following in summary.Motorcycle purchase June 2025.Franchise dealer explicitly state MOT valid until July 2026In November 2025 was discovered no MOT had been issued.MOT status was therefore misrepresentation at point of sale.This is not a minor administrative error but a misrepresentation of a legal requirement.On reflection of the purchase, I was riding a motorbike without a valid MOT which, may have resulted in seizure of the vehicle, invalidation of my insurance, and for which I was unknowingly exposed to legal risk.I would like written acknowledgement from Lookers to the facts, and understand what corrective action could be applied.

The contact was good and information provided was good but unfortunately they were unable to help because they were unaware of the deals of the 12 days of Christmas
