I purchased a car in November 2025 and a day after I got it the auto stop start broke I was then in a courtesy car for 3 months until February 2026 when I was told to pick a new car I was told I would receive £100 back into my account as I was actually not going to take another car after the problems with the first one after I eventually picked another car I was put back 2 weeks and told there were problems with the new car I was also told I would receive extended warranty and guard x which I have still received no information about I’ve emailed and called on several occasions and not heard anything back also the car that was originally purchased I have only cancled the tax on myself due to the fact I was told by the sales rep they would do it and I’ve made multiple payments on

I am a bit disappointed with the preparation of this car .I didn’t think Charles Hurst would sell cars not fully prepped, however I have spoken with a salesman who has noted my concern and am waiting for word to leave car in to get sorted. Apart from that I like my purchase. Regards George FergusonSent from my iPhone

This is to formally complain about the sale of a Porsche Cayenne Coupe S that was advertised and sold as prepped, ready for sale, and in excellent condition which was purchased in Jan 2026.At handover, multiple dashboard warning alerts were present, including TPMS and coolant system warnings. These were raised immediately and dismissed, with assurances given that the issues could be resolved by any Lookers dealership in England at no cost.Following purchase, several Lookers dealerships confirmed that no such arrangement existed, indicating that the assurances provided were inaccurate or misleading.More critically, it was later discovered that the vehicle had no valid MOT and had been without one for over 12 months at the time of sale, rendering it unroadworthy. The vehicle was unknowingly driven in this condition for several weeks. A franchised dealership selling a vehicle without a valid MOT while presenting it as ready for sale is wholly unacceptable.Resolution was delayed until April 2026 and this was after escalation to sales manager, otherwise i fear this would still be an on-going issue, despite these issues being present at handover. This situation caused avoidable disruption and should never have occurred. It was subsequently agreed that the vehicle would be taken to the dealership for diagnosis. Following completion of the work, all communication from the sales representative ceased. After being unable to obtain a response for almost a week, I was left with no option but to pay the diagnostic invoice personally, as Porsche would not release the vehicle until the outstanding balance was settled. To date, this cost has not been reimbursed, nor has the MOT fee, which I was required to pay after discovering that the vehicle had been sold without a valid MOT for over 12 months. This is particularly concerning given that the vehicle was purchased for over £40,000 in cash, without delay or finance arrangements. This complaint relates to:• Poor customer service• Sale of a vehicle without a valid MOT• Misrepresentation of vehicle condition• Inaccurate after‑sales assurances• Failure to take ownership of issues post‑saleI expect formal acknowledgment of this complaint, confirmation that the matter is under investigation, and a clear response outlining findings and remedial action.Yours faithfully,Samson Bolade

I requested the service history of the car but didn’t receive it.Shortly after purchase a friend informed me I would be better getting the wet belt changed as it could cause serious problems if it breaks. So I put it off the road until it failed it’s first mot with me and the mechanic I took it to seriously advised me that cars of that age would need the wet belt changed.I then spoke to another mechanic who gave me the same advice and the cost would be the best part of £2000 I’ve been informed that this problem is well known in the motor industry and I should have been made aware of it at the time of purchase.Since I purchased the car it has only done 200 miles as I’m afraid of doing serious damage and I don’t have the funds to rectify the problem

I paid a reservation fee of 250 GBP on the 26th March. I did not purchase the car. The money hasn't been returned. I have called and emailed. I was told the salesperson I who took the fee from me would call me back, he didn't.

Well taken care of and premises well presented.Only downfall, very crowded with vehicles and people. Understand it is the nature of your business and the location but a bit overwhelming.

Very helpful and informative

I bought a Kia Sportage from used direct in November 2025. After driving 1200 miles from purchase the low engine oil light came on. The light has came on 4 times since then despite topping the oil up. I have had it checked several teams by Kia in Charles Hurst with them responding that this is not an issue. The car is obviously burning too much oil and there is an issue with the engine. I have spoken to an independent qualified mechanic who stated that this is not normal and there are clearly an issue with the engine. I have sought legal advice and contacted trading standards who have advised that I am to give you one more opportunity to fix the issue before I take legal action. I feel as if I have not been listened to and have been communicating with Charles Hurst staff for five months now without anything being done to rectify the issue. This is having a detrimental impact on my mental health and I wish to have the situation resolved as soon as possible. I hope you can help.
