Was suspposed to get a call back about the car to tell me if it had a timing chain or belt, that never happened.

Was advised that the stain on front passenger seat, 2 marks on rear near side quarter panel would have been sorted,Stain on passenger seat was removed but the other marks not touched, I ended up doing it myself.

Sat for an hour and 20 minutes listening to nonsense about finance when we made it very clear at the start that we were not interested in finance. Was told complete lies about the car specifically about how the timing belt wouldn’t need changed until 120k miles!!! And that a light would come on. Bumper of the car needed painted and was told it would be painted with “Audi paint”(does not exist)Came out of the place extremely disappointed a complete waste of time.

Got the information I needed.

Customer is making complaint as her finance has not been settled on a vehicle which has been part ex in branch at least 2 weeks ago. This has left the customer in financial distress as finance payments have came out of her bank.

I am writing again regarding my vehicle (registration BG16 GXX purchased from your Dundonald Used Cars department). Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing, both with the car itself and the level of service I have received.Shortly after the purchase, the radio/sat nav system failed within two days. While your complaints department eventually resolved the issue by arranging a new unit, the Dundonald branch mislead me for months insisting that parts were on order from China when this was not the case.Rust was also present on the bonnet. Dundonald attempted to repair this themselves, but the work was of poor quality and again had to be escalated before it was put right. In addition, I raised concerns with Gary Martin regarding issues highlighted by a VAG garage which needed repaired and should have been done under the extended warranty that I purchased. The car was sent to the garage on Boucher Road for repair, however the repairs have not been done correctly and following a recent bumper to bumper check the same problems have been identified again.I can send the reports if required for your review. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to these ongoing problems.Work highlighted by garage 2024* Pinhole in NSF inner cv boot- outer has been replaced and likely damaged when done by CH* PSF wishbone rear bush minor cracking* Rear prop shaft coupling crackingWork highlighted by garage 2024* PSF wishbone rear bush perished* Rear prop shaft damper perished* water pump chirpy ( this should have been done with timing belt (which was done by CH as part of agreement with dealership for purchase)* Start button slow response timeYours Sincerely

Dear Sir/Madam,I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the vehicle I purchased from Dundonald Charles Hurst Used Cars Direct in April 2023. Since the day I took ownership, the car has been nothing but trouble and has caused me continuous stress and inconvenience.Within a relatively short period of time, I have experienced repeated and serious issues, including problems with the alternator, the AdBlue system, the engine, and the timing belt. During the colder months, the car often failed to start. Fortunately, this was covered under the warranty, but the reality is that as soon as one issue is resolved, another quickly arises. This is completely unacceptable for a car that was sold to me as a reliable purchase. When I attempted to raise these concerns via email, I was told that the original salesperson I dealt with no longer worked in that department. I was then passed between several people without clear accountability or effective support, which has only added to my frustration. To make matters worse, I am paying for this vehicle through a Hire Purchase finance agreement with Black Horse at 10% APR. By now, I have already paid close to half of what the car was worth at the point of purchase, yet the constant problems mean it does not even hold its value, nor is it fit for purpose.I feel strongly that I have been sold a faulty and unreliable vehicle. I therefore request that this matter is taken seriously and resolved appropriately. At this stage, I would like to discuss possible remedies, including:-A replacement vehicle of equivalent value and reliability, or- A full or partial refund in line with my consumer rights, or-A significant reduction in the finance balance, given the car’s ongoing faults. Please treat this as a formal complaint and respond within 14 days, outlining how you intend to resolve this matter. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will have no choice but to escalate this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and seek independent advice regarding my consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.I look forward to your prompt response.Yours faithfully,
Emma Donnelly
