Poor people skills displayed by financial manger, the price is in the window was his reply to me asking if I could get any discount on a 18k used vehicle. I should thank him as I ended up buying a much better model for 19.2k from another dealer

asked for a video documenting any damage etc to the car and other issues.Video sent through highlighting one scrape that was fixable. Upon driving for 1 hour, the rear door was damaged and wouldn't open. Internal trim broken, electric window switches broken and missing. We wouldn't have attended viewing the car had we been made aware of the actual damage.

My sales representative Eoin McAlinden was more than helpful in every way possible and I will definitely return to Charles hurst if I am in the market for a new vehicle as this customer service was impeccable

External Sender: Confirm legitimacy before acting.Hi,Please treat this correspondence as a formal complaint and notice that I am asserting my statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.I purchased the Audi Q2, registration SA21 JPH, from Charles Hurst Portadown 29th April 2026. firstly i want to highlight the discrepancy in the document which states its petrol with wrong registration. The vehicle is now experiencing significant clutch slipping, and fault code P17D800 has been recorded. During my telephone conversation with Charles Hurst, the fault was acknowledged and I was advised that it could lead to mechanical failure. Despite this, I was told the vehicle was safe to drive. I require written confirmation of that advice and confirmation that continuing to drive the vehicle will not prejudice my warranty claim or make me responsible for any further damage arising from the existing fault. This fault has arisen within 3 months of delivery. I am therefore raising this matter directly with Charles Hurst as the selling dealer, independently of the separate six-month third-party warranty. A warranty provides additional protection and does not replace or restrict my statutory rights against the dealer.Section 9 — satisfactory qualitySection 9 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires goods supplied by a trader to be of satisfactory quality. In the case of a used vehicle, this must be assessed in light of its age, mileage, price, description and the standard a reasonable person would consider satisfactory.Given the vehicle’s purchase price, mileage and the short period since delivery, I do not consider significant clutch slipping and a recorded transmission-related fault to demonstrate satisfactory quality, reasonable durability or freedom from defects without a proper technical investigation.Section 19 — fault arising within six monthsBecause this fault became apparent within 3 months of delivery, section 19 provides that the vehicle is generally presumed not to have conformed to the contract at the time of delivery, unless Charles Hurst can establish otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the nature of the fault.Accordingly, it is not sufficient simply to describe the clutch as a “wear-and-tear item.” If Charles Hurst maintains that the fault resulted from normal wear, misuse or events occurring after delivery, I require objective technical evidence supporting that position, including inspection findings, measurements and the identification of the precise failed component.Section 23 — right to repair or replacementI am exercising my statutory right to require a repair under section 23 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.Section 23 requires the trader to carry out the repair:at no cost to the consumer;within a reasonable time; andwithout causing significant inconvenience. These obligations include bearing the necessary costs of labour and materials required to provide the remedy.I therefore do not agree to fund diagnostic work or invasive dismantling that Charles Hurst says is necessary to establish and remedy the fault. Where dismantling is reasonably required to determine the cause of a fault arising within the statutory six-month period, it should form part of Charles Hurst’s investigation and repair process, rather than being imposed on me as a precondition to the dealer considering its liability.I require Charles Hurst to do one of the following:authorise and fund the necessary diagnostics and dismantling directly;arrange and fund an independent engineer’s assessment; orprovide another reasonable no-cost method of identifying and repairing the fault.I do not authorise any work that will create personal liability for me unless I give separate written consent after being provided with a fixed written price.Section 24 — price reduction or final right to rejectIf Charles Hurst refuses to repair the vehicle, fails to complete the repair within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, or if an attempted repair does not resolve the fault, I reserve my rights under section 24 to seek an appropriate price reduction or exercise the final right to reject the vehicle.I understand that a deduction for use may be applied to a motor vehicle where the final right to reject is exercised.Documents and information requiredPlease provide:confirmation that this complaint has been formally registered;a no-cost appointment for diagnosis and assessment;copies of the pre-sale inspection and initial warranty inspection;the complete diagnostic report, including all fault codes and associated data;the technical basis for any suggestion of normal wear or misuse;confirmation of the exact failed component once identified;confirmation that no chargeable work will be undertaken without my separate written authority. Please provide a substantive written response within 14 days, confirming how Charles Hurst intends to investigate and remedy the fault.Notice of intended escalation and legal proceedingsIf Charles Hurst refuses to investigate and remedy the fault at no cost, or fails to provide a satisfactory resolution within 14 days, I intend to pursue all remedies available to me without further notice. This may include:referring the matter to Consumer line Northern Ireland and Trading Standards;referring the complaint to The Motor Ombudsman or another applicable alternative-dispute-resolution body;raising a statutory-quality complaint with any finance provider involved in the purchase;commissioning an independent engineer’s report and seeking recovery of its reasonable cost;commencing court proceedings to enforce my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and recover my resulting losses.Consumerline accepts complaints from Northern Ireland consumers regarding traders and consumer-rights disputes.Should legal proceedings become necessary, I will seek recovery of the purchase-related losses, reasonable expert-report costs, court fees and any other sums that are legally recoverable. I will rely upon this correspondence when demonstrating that Charles Hurst was given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the dispute before proceedings were commenced. If liability is denied, please issue your formal final response, clearly identifying:the statutory and contractual basis of the refusal;the technical evidence relied upon;how Charles Hurst has rebutted the statutory presumption applying to a fault arising within six months;the applicable alternative-dispute-resolution scheme and the procedure for referring the complaint.Nothing in this correspondence constitutes a waiver of any statutory, contractual or common-law rights or remedies available to me.Kind regards,Kind Regards,Darragh

DPF issue, and sensor issues with the car. Brian Ashton (service advisor) stated if its his car he wouldn't drive this - they have no courtesy car.Cust. unhappy as customer's only had the car for 3 months - dealerships also looking to charge the courtesy car.Ideal resolution is for a courtesy car and for the repairs to be completed.

Hi there, I am contacting yourselves and Charles Hurst group regarding the purchase of a car I made a few years back, a 2018 honda civic VTEC turbo 1 litre (EU180UVO). Recently I have noticed blistering and rust along the bottom of the rear left passenger door. I took it to a repair shop were I was informed that there has been a door skin installed
