The salesman was excellent. The motorcycle I was interested in was fantastic, however your company wouldn’t trade in my current scooter which is under a year old and in excellent condition which was disappointing, hence the 4 stars

I spoke with James Anderson at Boucher Road dealership and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Although I didn’t purchase from Charles Hurst (as the Honda Forza 350 suited my current needs) I would definitely use your surfaces in the future.

I am very dissatisfied with the handling of my complaint by General Manager of CH Motorcycles, Phillip McLaughlin. I do not believe the complaint has been dealt with in a timely fashion as per your stated policy and I do not believe the seriousness of the issue is being recognised. There has been no meaningful engagement with me and the last email has been curt and without any explanation. I cannot be sure but I feel that Lookers or more senior management have not been consulted regarding my complaint. I have lengthy documentation and communications to submit to you.In brief, I had my Yamaha motorcycle serviced at CH Yamaha, Belfast with a request to investigate a rattle at front end. The bike was returned to me as fixed and serviced, yet within 220-330 miles whilst starting a European tour in Netherlands the front brake caliper became detached following loss of both retaining bolts. This presented a serious risk to life, but thankfully fortune this time was on my side and I heard a sound and was able to stop in time. The seriousness of the safety failure cannot be overstated. My bike was returned to me after service in a condition that was not roadworthy.I have asked for a conversation around compensation for an unsatisfactory service, the damage caused to the bike, a loss of enjoyment of the expensive tour, and a recognition that my life was placed in unnecessary danger in what the medical profession would describe as should be a "never event".I telephoned from the roadside immediately at time of the incident and spoke to John Jackson in CHY service department who was very helpful in that he a) apologised that the incident had happened b)was able to tell me the part number of bolts I would need for an emergency repair c)explained to me how to escalate on my return by speaking to the General Manager (essentially he correctly started the complaints process). This was a Saturday and I believe the General Manager, Mr McLaughlin was notified on the Monday following. The handling of the complaint was poor from the moment it was passed to Mr McLaughlin. On my return just over two weeks later I contacted him and a meeting was arranged at which he could tell me nothing and stalled blaming a wait for CCTV footage (which it transpired never existed). His request for such footage only occurred the day I contacted him. This is a very poor management response to a major safety failing issue which he was notified of over two weeks earlier. His attitude in the meeting was one of "motorcycles are dangerous and accidents will happen". He even suggested that someone on the Stena sailing Belfast-Cairnryan (the only time between service and total failure that I was not in sight of the bike) could have tampered with the motorcycle.Skipping many of the rest of the details, which are in documents I can furnish you with, I see failings in the complaints process in that I never received a complaint reference even after this was specifically requested. Also when the bike was examined by CHY to assess damage, I did not receive a formal written technical report which I would expect given the importance of such a serious mechanical safety failing. Instead I received Mr McLaughlin's comments in an email. The investigation eliminated possible causes of the failure, the evidence pointing to incorrectly torqued bolts, but Mr McLaughlin denies this yet is unable to suggest any credible alternative cause.I would like this escalated to a senior decision maker in Lookers please. I can send more detailed info.

When i ordered and purchased a brand new motorcycle from them that was specifically ordered in for me from yamaha, it was delivered to the showroom but they decided to deliver me another bike they had in stock from a deal that was fallen through wirhout my consent or knowledge. They also badly fitted a charging tether lead which nearly set a brand new bike on fire minutes after delivery!

Did very well. All questions l had were answered and every part of the whole process was explained in a simple to understand manner. Salesman who dealt with me was called James and couldn’t have done enough for me. Bike purchased no drama job done..happy customer thanks.
