I submitted a maintenance on July 12th concerning a few small holes in my bedroom wall, as seen in the image below. When submitting this request, I expected the holes to be fixed and touched up with paint. However, as seen in the email below, they were not patched nor painted when the maintenance was "completed". A note concerning the completion indicated that there is "no major patch needed, will repair during turns"; therefore, a turn paint fee was unexpected as the maintenance was expected to cover it, and I was not notified of possible charges due to the maintenance.

Looking at the communal charge details, the cleaners show a picture of a trash bag, but I cannot see the items within the trash bag, nor did my roommates and I leave any items/trash behind, other than the small, white wire shelf depicted below. Before leaving the apartment, I took plenty of pictures of the common area, and did not find any trash/items left behind.

To whom this may concern. Regarding the Trash Work Order, and Trash Cleaning Fee.My concern as Resident of 211 A, is a request to review the charges of Trash and Cleanup in the common area. While the responsibility falls on all of us since it is a shared space, I hope there is at least something you can do with the following information. The apartment, was left to 4 tenants, 3 including myself physically living at the apartment, and one who had still held their lease but was not present because he turned in his keys. On June 13th I informed my roommates that I would be moving out early, and that I would not be available for the next few months until my lease ends. I cleaned my room and my property from the common area and kitchen, and informed the roommate living in 211 B that whatever is left is his and my other roommates who lived in 211 C. I told him he can talk with the roommate in 211 C about what to throw out and what to keep. The roommate from 211 C was not there that day. I only asked him about some property that may or may not have been his in my room which was cleaned out. My last words to the roommate in 211 B were to pick up the common area before he moved out since he was still going to live there until his lease ended. I had left my keys to the room and apartment with the office that day because I would not be in town later or close to before the move out date in July to clean and move out, so I had to fill out an Early Move out form.I understand the common area is to be charged equally among the current occupants however I was unable to be present before my lease ended to clean up the common area. Even so the items left to be picked up were the responsibility of the roommate from 211 B. Roommate C and I also held a complaint to our office on March 5 complaining that the common area was not kept clean, by roommate 211 B. Roommate C and I did the best we could during the semester to keep the area clean until the end of the semester when everyone had summer plans and would not be available for a large portion of the summer. Because I had to be absent during and before my move out date of July 26, when I arrived June 13th, I was surprised to see how roommate 211 B left the common area and kitchen since he was still living there during the summer. I communicated with the residents of 211 C and D about the items and state of the common area and while some were their responsibilty, the trash made after I had left and from when roommate 211 D left were not ours. With the information provided I would like to request a review on the charges made for 211 B, C, and D. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am writing to request a review of the cleaning and trash charge assessed for the common area of the apartment. As the resident of Unit 211C, I vacated the apartment and removed my personal belongings in mid-July. Although a few personal items remained in the common area (a bean bag, air purifier, and traffic cone), the substantial volume of trash and the overall condition of the shared space at the conclusion of the lease did not reflect the condition in which I left the premises. To better understand the circumstances, I communicated with the former residents of Units 211A and 211D. They indicated that they had also removed their belongings and surrendered their keys earlier in the month, with their possessions having been removed weeks to months before the remaining trash accumulated. In light of these circumstances, I respectfully request that my responsibility for the cleaning charge be reconsidered. Based on the timeline of my move-out and the condition in which I left the apartment, I do not believe an equal allocation of the common-area cleaning costs accurately reflects my responsibility.Additionally, concerns regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the common area had previously been brought to the attention of the leasing office while all residents were still occupying the apartment. If helpful during your review, I can provide copies of prior email correspondence documenting these concerns.I would like to request that the amount charged to units 211A, 211C, and 211D is reduced for the common area given that we overwhelmingly did not take part in the trashing of both the living room and the kitchen.Thank you for your time and consideration. I respectfully request that the assessment of my portion of the cleaning and trash charge be reviewed and adjusted as appropriate based on the documented circumstances. Please reach out to me if you’d like proof of prior violations at gcarlton2003@gmail.com

I have not lived in my apartment for 1 year. ClemsonEdge had notice that I had moved out in May of 2025 as well as the fact that ClemsonEdge should have documentation of putting me on a wait list that would look for another person to take over my lease despite the fact that never occurred. The ONLY reason that I was continuing to pay rent was being stuck in said lease and ClemsonEdge's failure to find a replacement. That should clear me of any cleaning and trash in my room. My keys, which I sent back to Clemson Edge in July of 2025, were signed for by the office meaning I would not have had access to my apartment nor my unit in the first place. ALL of the items left in my room are as a result of the 211-B occupant breaking in. My two other former roommates made an in person complaint to the ClemsonEdge office about the fact that he broke into my room in the middle of the spring semester thus establishing a pattern. As well this would be the ONLY way into my room considering that the office has my keys. After having talked with the roommates in 211-a and 211-c they too will be filing a complaint form and they as well would have had NO access to the apartment due to giving up their keys prior to the inspection and also had numerous problems with cleanliness regarding Roomate B. This also fails to acknowledge the fact that back in 2023 when i first moved in the common area was FILTHY and a cleaning service had to be provided by the office (at no charge) to clean up the apartment. As well everytime that we (my mother or I) called to make sure everything was straight they stated that they were putting everything in the notes under Charlton Cochran thus ClemsonEdge should have digital documentation of everything. I am checking yes that i have supporting documentation as ClemsonEdge should have supporting documentation regarding these claims.

I am disputing the trash removal charge for the shower liner that was listed on my move-out inspection. The shower liner was already present in the apartment when I moved in and was not brought or installed by me during my tenancy. Because it was an item that existed prior to my occupancy, I do not believe I should be held responsible for its removal or any associated trash fee.I respectfully request that this charge be reviewed and removed from my account.

I do not own anything in the common area charges. The Brita filter is not mine, neither the alcohol, or the butter. I was rarely there to purchase things anyway. I’d like to just pay for my charges as I do not own or use any of that.

Question on the common area charges. My roommates were responsible for the common area in its entirety. Following the semester end, I moved elsewhere temporarily due to issues with them.Interior room charges, I thought some holes in the wall are permissible on the lease?Bathroom tub was clean when I left, Ive had water spot and other trouble throughout my time there.

I was charged damage fees for something on my mattress and my blinds. That stain or whatever happened to the mattress was not from me- it may have been there from the previous tenant because I moved into the room “as is” without any cleaning from the Edge facility. The same thing for the blinds- already like that when I moved in. I didn’t even notice or think that would be an issue so I hadn’t submitted it in my move in inspection. For the cleaning fees- there was a weird issue with my carpet last summer when I returned for the school year where the carpet was soaking wet with some liquid. Also whatever was causing it did get fixed I think that was what left a stain that I tried to clean.
I submitted a maintenance on July 12th concerning a few small holes in my bedroom wall, as seen in the image below. When submitting this request, I expected the holes to be fixed and touched up with paint. However, as seen in the email below, they were not patched nor painted when the maintenance was "completed".
