Thank you for this opportunity to provide some feedback to you. I recently had service performed to my 2014 Civic. It was the transmission fluid exchange. I had been provided previously with an estimate for the service cost of $125.00. When the bill arrived it was for $164.00. So, it was 31% higher than your estimate. It was explained that the difference was for tax and "shop supplies", but this is not entirely true. The basic service cost for the fluid exchange was $142.19 and shop supplies and taxes were $22.12. I had a printed estimate from your service system when I checked in and verified that the cost for the service was correct at $125.00 as I showed it to the service advisor as the order was being prepared. I don't believe I saw anything about estimates only being good for "x" number of days. I have another estimate for brake fluid exchange at $115.95 in hand. What will be the final cost for this service; certainly not $115.95. There seems to be a big disconnect between the Repair Estimates you are giving to customers and the final bills they receive. Can you not include Shop Supplies and Tax in a "good faith estimate"? I would ask that consideration be given to returning to me the difference in charges estimated and charges made for the transmission service in the amount of $39.00. The invoice number is 702296. I dropped my car off on a Thursday (I had set up an appointment that Monday). I knew my car would need to be at the dealer all day because I needed a diagnostic run for an audio issue. What I was told when I dropped my car off was there was a 48 hour wait for diagnostics and that my car would not even be evaluated until Saturday at the earliest (they said Monday was more likely). I find this absolutely ridiculous. What was the purpose of making an appointment for Thursday if it was going to be Monday before my car was even looked at. Nonetheless, I reached out on Monday to check the status of my car and was told a part was being ordered and it should arrive on Tuesday. I was also told it was a pretty extensive job and that the earliest it would be ready was Wednesday. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call on Tuesday pm saying my car was ready for pickup.I am very pleased with the service I received (since this was the second time I had my car in for the same audio issue). I do believe the dealership should stop scheduling appointments if they know they are behind on running diagnostics. There is no satisfactory reason why I should have been without my car for 4 days before it was even evaluated.
