Was treated on 6/29/26 for an accidental needle stick at work. (Used needle was mistakenly placed in a trash bag by another employee.) Should have been billed through workers comp. On 7/4/26 I received an email from my insurance that my claim has been denied. I had to call multiple places (urgent care and employee health) to find out that the hospital billed the lab work through my insurance instead of workers comp. At this time, I have no confirmation that the issue has been fixed or not as I have not been called back yet. However I should not receive a bill for something that should have never been run through my insurance in the first place.

I felt like a patient, not a number...and not just during the day shift. I am so grateful for the care I received while in your care for four days. I learned that I have a serious heart condition , and that I needed to see my heart doctor. WELL!!! My heart doctor at St. Thomas, Nashville was not available for three months! Thanks to Cookeville Regional Hospital caregivers, I NOW have a Cookeville heart doctor!

We were pleased overall with our experience. Dr. Paul was amazing! He did surgery but also checked on Wayne daily! The nutritionist came to the room quickly after Wayne was admitted and discuss food choices but also utensils that might make it easier for Wayne to feed himself! The nurses, assistants and CNAs were prompt and knowledgeable! We were pleased with most things but it was extremely cold in the room!
