Admitted for obs for respiratory distress. Hospitalist would not listen to me. They knew I was diagnosed with asthma and they were not interested in any other diagnosis. I kept telling them i was hurting in chest into back. Gave me protonix IV. Released next morning and not any better. Hospitalist said labs and XRAY were fine and I was d/cd. I ended up at St.Thomas with no air movement in lower lobes and some of my rt lung collapsed. I w as there for 6 days. What has happened to our hospital? Im so disappointed, I have been working here over 25 years and our service has declined severely.

I recently visited the Cancer Center after trying a medication they prescribed 2 months ago for a urinary tract problem, The medication did not help. They referred me to a Urologist.

I am writing this for my husband. He recieved assitance in ER quickly, but found that having to change rooms for EKG, Lab, UA was difficult due to pain and N/V due to Cholecystitis. Also the room that he was taken to was very disappointing. The ER did not seem busy and always before was taken to a room and all procedures and assessment was done from there. This time taken to another room that was for 2 patients with chairs approx 4- 5 feet apart. Curtain was not drawn, 1 doctor finally pulled when in room to check him. On the door a sign said to" leave door closed due to HIPPA and Germs". I found this very odd since another man was sitting next to my husband with no ideal why he was there and what contagious disease he may have and there definitely was no privacy. Also with my husband vomiting, restless from pain it definitely was not a good experience for that poor man in the room. With CRMC size, I think something else could be arranged. I understand at times the ER becomes very busy and this room would be better than being in the hall and should be for overflow only. I hope this can be used as constructive criticism. The employees were nice and helpful. Just needed privacy and not having to change room for every test. Thank you.
