My poor rating is for my appt. with Dr. Vallepu not the hospital. My first visit with her was in April 2025, she was suppose to check and possibly do a biopsy. I had been in the hospital with a bad infection they wanted me to get my thyroid checked as soon as possible. It took a couple of months to get an appt with her. First visit in April 2025. She came in and said she could take over my diabetes I just had to tell Dr Garry, I said no that I was here for my thyroid. Every visit she came through the door talking about my diabetes and not one visit did she ever mention my thyroid. But I did. She didn't send me for a biopsy until May 2026 she had the results almost a month before contacting me. They found something very concerning and mention the C word. I have to go see a specialist to see if I need surgery. I would never recommend her to anyone! I don't think she should be practicing especially at an awesome hospital like yours. I am very disappointed in Dr. Vallepu! And by the way my diabetes is just fine.

Dr. Vallepu and staff are kind and helpful. Their new facility is convenient and the entire experience was positive. So glad they are in Cookeville.

It was my first time there and my dr knew exactly what the issue was that caused me to be put in the hospital they are great office and I recommend them to anyone

Everything went well

Doctor Vallepu non responsive after messages left after a week of them receiving results from dermatologist. She said she would start me on a low dose of medicine for thyroid after dermatologist visit. Nothing wrong with scalp all due to thyroid. Dr Vallepu had results for days. Nurse said results were sent via fax and they didn’t get it all. Dr. Whitaker does not fax results. So nurse bought another week which she said I would hear from her the treatment plan which was by today 5-15-26 and still no response. Charged my insurance for $494 for 20 minute visit. In my 59 years and different surgeries and doctors have I ever come across such a situation with a doctor and nurse. I would not recommend them and I wonder what charges they are sending to Medicare for the seniors I saw in the waiting room that are fraud.
