Everything was explained very well and my improvement was discussed. It was a very good visit with a wonderful doctor.

My experience was as fine as it could have been. My treatment seems be going well, and no increase to any of my meds, so well kept trudging along the way we have been doing, and see how my next apt in Oct is! The only concern I have is during my appt, Dr. Gaw and I discussed a new diagnosis made my my mental health therapist where we discovered that I have ADHD. The treatment plan she chose at first was to try and avoid stimulant medications if at all possible. The meds we tried all failed at keeping my levels in balance, and we saw not real signs that it was doing anything to help my disorder. She said the next option was to try and avoid stimulant med and see how I do with it.i informed Dr. Gaw that my therapist, Amy Emirick needed a letter from him giving her his consent and permission to prescribe me Adderall XR so she could put in my medical records at Personal Growth, and make a copy for her boss to file away saying that my neurologist approve me starting treatment using a stimulant. It’s been going on two weeks now, and after several msgs, and calls I still haven’t gotten my note from Dr. Gaw, and it’s left me in the dark about my adhd treatment, and getting prescribed my new medication. It surely cannot be that hard to write out a simple letter that states that Dr. Gaw if fully aware that I’m going be prescribed Adderall XR for my next set at treating my disorder. He said during my apt that he saw no problem with me starting a stimulant for treatment. I would just really like to be informed on a time that I can plan to swing by his office and pick up the letter, and deliver to my therapist at Personal Geowth Couseling so we can restart with a treatment plan that should help to alleviate the complications that goes along with an ADHD diagnosis.
