Staff was friendly, but dropped the ball. I went in because I had fallen and bruised my ribs. The doctor ordered another x-ray to make sure I wasn’t getting pneumonia because with the pain it was difficult to breathe deeply. I asked if a prescription for steroids would help reduce the inflammation and reduce the pain since Tylenol and ibuprofen were not helping at all. She said I don’t want to start throwing medicine at you until I see the X-ray.Waited for two days for results and finally pulled them up on the portal. The x-ray showed no pneumonia and no fractures so back to the original diagnosis of bruised ribs. Someone finally called me late yesterday afternoon to tell me my x-rays were normal. I said the pain was still pretty bad. What was I supposed to do? He replied take Tylenol and ibuprofen, ice and rest. I’ve been doing that and continue to do so, but the pain still affects my breathing and it makes it difficult to move. No mention of steroids or anything else that might help with the pain.I had no more answers after this visit and a trip to the imaging center for another set of x-rays then I had before I went in. Total waste of time. What do I do now?
