On the day that my father was to move out, he could not get anyone to help him get dressed, get to the bathroom or refill his water from the night before. He rang the bell multiple times and no one would help. When I arrived to pick him up at almost noon, he was still in his pajamas and had no water available to him after multiple requests. This is completely unacceptable. I spoke to Nurse Emily and she agreed. Just because my father was leaving that day did not mean that he did not deserve the same care that other patients did.

Communication - especially between skilled nursing and Pathways was poor. One didn’t know what the other was doing, ordering beds when he had one, etc. Takes far too long when a call bell is rung. One hour my dad waited to go to the bathroom when he called at 6:30 am. He couldn’t hold it, was devastated. He never had an accident prior to Skilled Nursing and has not had one yet in Pathways. An hour is unacceptable when you need help to get to the bathroom.

Unfortunately roommate is very negative about all things and seems to have a negative attitude. This has an impact on my mood.

It was hard to get questions answered effectively. My mom was in the hospital for over a month and we expected better care in her rehabilitation while at CM for only 10 days. Marcel PT was excellent but had left the facility and the family feels like she was never given priority after that. It’s sad they gave up on her basically . Some of the nurses were great but care was not consistent.

So initially the admissions office didn’t respond to me. But when Dawn got my phone call she made I spoke to someone. It has been great since.

There needs to be more communication from the management and/or nursing team regarding how the patient is doing.

The care team are so stretched. Communication at times was unclear as well as incomplete.
