We are the family of the resident. We had zero orientation. We would have appreciated more guidance. We would try asking questions at the nursing desk but they were quite busy and usually couldn’t answer our questions anyway. Calling on the phone was also frustrating. Not always answered, and usually nobody knew nothing. Our loved one has poor memory so she could not tell us much about her care. We cannot answer the survey from resident’s perspective. We would have appreciated staff introducing themselves and knowing what their roles were. Our loved one did recovered her strength. She seems to have been treated with kindness. Fir that, we are grateful.

Taking my mom for respite care was so easy and fast. Evetone is so nice and helpful.Although her TV did not work and the roommate said it hasn't worked in a while.

I expressed concern that she was not ready for discharge. You all had her sign papers while i was not there and discharged her anyway. I am appalled at your priorities

Staffing was very short and the staff continuously shared their discontent with me! They always made excuses for not answering bells, ie I needed to pass trays… meanwhile I was having stool in my bed or in intractable pain. These situations persisted after talking to Chris nurse manager . There is a major problem with the culture on this unit. I never felt so alone and afraid. There were some great staff, Kat, The 2 Brians on nights, Crystal. The evening shift totally the worst.

There is a need for staff to follow up on doctors orders. With the consent shift changes the orders can be lost in the shuffle.

The discharge was rushed due to an impending meeting of the discharging nurse.Aides and RNs should receive a wage that draws dedicated employees.Residents should not have to listen to others screaming for help.I realize caretaking is frustrating. I’m thankful my sister was not one that needed a lot of help.

It is unfortunate that we felt we had to get our loved one home for her to improve rather than continue care and therapy at country meadows. Although the facility itself is homey and the outside is well landscaped, some of the staff is not caring and doesn’t listen to the individual. Instead the patient is treated with a general care plan that isn’t catered to their individual needs.
