Our family had mixed feelings about our stay. Some staff were wonderful but not everyone was. We tried three different rehab facilities. While we liked Country Meadows the most we decided not to make it a permanent residence.

So far, every single team member has been so pleasant, helpful, and respectful. She had an absolutely horrible experience last month in rehab (KV, bethlehem) - but other than her not being home in her own apartment, her experience at CM has been wonderful. The PT & OT push her (in a good way), she enjoys the meals, and overall is, under the circumstances, quite comfortable and content. Thank you!

Communication was poor. We had a meeting with the social worker and I asked for the report that CM sent to CMS. The handout that we received stated that we would receive a detailed report. We did not receive it. You don't follow your own policy and procedure. I also asked how much therapy would cost as private pay. I asked about Mary Jane's blood pressure reading. We also asked for a different physician. We felt that Dr Sharma was less than interested in Mary Jane's care. She said that she would get back to us. I called and spoke with her during the week. She did not have answers. I did not hear from her. I called again and left a message. Still did not hear back. This was not the first time we had asked for information but received no response. Staff often did not get back to us.When Mary Jane fell and fractured her back she should have gone to rehab. In retrospect, we should have demanded it. But we did not realize that she was entitled to it and how it would have helped. She was in bed for a couple of weeks. She got weaker and was never the same. The skilled facility was the last straw. Country Meadows herds the residents into the dining area. They just sit there. Very loud country music was playing. Just because they are old, doesn't mean that they are deaf. For me, sitting there doing nothing listening to that music would be a form of torture. We also asked the social worker about the room that MJ was sharing. The other resident took up 2/3 of it. It simply wasn't fair. For this, we would get the pleasure of paying $15,000.
