Overall staff has been welcoming and great to my parents. However we had an issue with myMom being sent to hospital and the nurse and director of Country Meadows refused to accept her back due to outbursts due to dementia and the transition to the move. Instead of trying to work with us I had to hire a 24 hour aide to stay with my mother. I pleaded with Stephanie to accept my mother back and let’s see how she adjusts but I believe she took the opinion of one nurse and refused. Bill, your Regional Manager called me and agreed the situation should have been handled with some compassion.

Cleaner foyer, more welcoming, foyer and residences need updating.

Staff treated my Dad with respect and compassion, even as he become more demanding and difficult.

Maybe provide a checklist of tasks required for a complete and smooth transition - things like cancel utilities and phone, change address with post office, newspaper, and bank etc, set up appt with cable company if additional package desired, etc.

My mother ended up moving close to my sister in NY. There’s a chance she will move near me in the next year, so I continue to be aware and interact with Martie. Her invaluable guidance and outreach keeps Country Meadows on the top of my list.
