Everything was fine. We chose the Mechanicsburg campus because it seems smaller and seems like a location closer to our families.

In Jan of 2025 I had my wife admitted to Country Meadows. They said they would care for her for the rest of her life. Went OK until she came down with the flu. She was sent to local ER for a few days and then sent to rehab facility in Linglestown. She had been put on risriredone?, but somehow no-one was aware of that. So she went through withdrawal alone with no friendly faces around, no familiar routine to follow, no aides who know how to handle an alzheimers person. I'm sure she has unmet needs and discomforts, loneliness, maybe pain. And no-one helps. She was just abandoned for a month in a hell-hole and it continues up to now. I'm not surprised she occasionally lashes out at things she doesn't understand.

My mother loved Country Meadows from the minute she got there until the minute she left there. She never complained about anything. She was never happier.

Most items were very satisfactory, however some updates could be made. They include: replacement of well worn provided furnishings (dresser drawers, mattress); investigation/replacement of compromised ceiling panels; and, corrections of an occasional water leak from the base of the toilet. When possible, an upgrade to the AC/Heating unit to reduce operating noise and provide air flow that does not blow directly onto a resident's sleeping area would be a positive change. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable for my loved one.The staff was excellent and they definitely contributed to a very good experience for our family. They and those who are responsible for training them and who look after their well-being in this special role in Connections, are to be commended.

Exceptional standard of care, with unmatched reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of security. The staff’s dedication ensures residents feel well-supported, making it a comforting place to call home. That said, a few areas could be improved to enhance the overall experience:- Dining: The food was bland at times and the wait staff could be slow or impolite (Main Dining Room).- Maintenance: Small requests like hanging a painting would sometimes take longer than expected to complete.Despite this, Country Meadows remains a well-run community with many strengths.
