I had known my battery was in need of replacing, had to jump start it frequently. However, on Sunday evening on the way home on Jul 30, my Challenger would not go above 2000 rpm, and I had to "baby" it home.I was VERY concerned, and checked online for the next available service appointment, and nothing was available until a WEEK later, Aug 7th!I got up early on Monday the 31st, and arrived at Courtesy right as the Service Dept opened at 7:00am. I explained to the service greeter what my concerns were, and that I did NOT have an appointment. Joe Murray overheard me and asked me to hold on... he'd talk to me when he was through with his current customer. Joe returned in about 10 minutes, and carefully listened as I explained my issues, again stating I did NOT have an appointment.He calmed me, stated that a bad battery could cause not only the need for jumping, but ALSO the "limp" mode of the engine I had experienced the day before. He said if I didn't mind waiting for a bit, he'd squeeze me in for the necessary battery change. I said I would gladly wait, and he checked me in.My battery was confirmed to have a bad cell, was replaced, charging system checked for proper operation, and my car was ready around 9:30am, only 2.5 hours.I told Joe how EXTREMELY thankful for his assistance, despite NOT having an appointment. Courtesy has been stellar for me since I purchased my 2018 Challenger here, used in Sep 2022..... for this instance, and for previously scheduled maintenance appointments.I am extremely thankful for Joe, and the entire Courtesy team. You've definitely been in my corner from day 1!
