I recently purchased a 2021 Kona 10/2020. But kept having engine issues. Brought the vehicle into service department a few months ago. As the engine was burning oil on the inside. Service staff and department wonderful they assured me all was ok. About 2 months later the engine was jumping and had a terrible banging sound. Kept slowing down as I would be driving. So I made another appointment. Left my vehicle on a Monday and had to pay for a rental car. The dealership gave me their discount for the rental. But I had to leave a 300.00 deposit with the rental company which was unnerving. 3 days later I received a text telling me my car received approval for a new engine and ever was covered. I had the rental car for 10 days. No communication from the dealership at all. So I went to the dealership to see what was happening. As I said no communication at all during this time. Except I called about 4 days in and was told by a staff member we had to wait for warranty approval. At the 10 Day mark I was the dealership with a different matter and got a text telling me my car was ready to pick up. Glad I was physically there. I returned the rental And came back for my vehicle. Told everything was great. I left and went home but realized my odometer was still at the same number as when I left it with the old engine. Well I made a phone call and was told they did not replace the entire engine as I was told. They only replaced the block because of bearing issues. I was assured the engine is going to be fine. I trust that the dealership knows what it is talking about The staff is Awesome I have enjoyed and have always been treated very well when I have an issue. But I feel that the lack of communication was very troubling to me. I would like to suggest that communication be improved from the service department to the vehicle owner. That is the only problem I had other than the stress a broken down vehicle does to everyday life. Again I think your staff is wonderful but communication could be improved on. Thank you again for the promptness of getting me back into my vehicle.

The salesman was very good. The dealer fee to clean the car and protect the interior was not any value to the customer. It is obvious that it is for overhead and profit. It was not shown by management clearly in the deal.
