First, this is the 3rd or 4th survey since purchasing my current vehicle! As I shared in the previous surveys, the sales process was pretty good. The 4 **** are for Wesley. Working with Wesley was easy, but the entire car buying experience is too long, not sure why that is!! Now to the current issue… I purchased the car on the 17th or 18th of July and was told by finance that my pay-off would take place before the previous payment, which was due on August 5th. The pay-off didn’t happen and I had to make a payment on a vehicle I no longer have!! And, if I had not called finance to inquire, this would likely have gone into the next month! I was told that they would check and call me back, had to call the next day and was told the paperwork would be sent and would take an additional 7 days for the payoff. This is not good!!! I understand that company’s are experiencing staffing shortages and there can be delays, but where is the time limit? I have an unnecessary payment on something I no longer have, and an upcoming payment at the beginning of September! When I inquired about moving the terms to the following month, told that it would not happen. No apology, no explanation, as to why it happened! As a consumer, should I have to check behind the process? I will f/u in 7 days and this has not been processed with the former credit union, I will have to take further action. Please keep in mind… I understand that this could have been an oversight, and things happen, but had I not made the inquiry, this would have gone unchecked!
