I felt misinformed during the booking process. Steven told me I could use a birth certificate to board, without clarifying that this guidance applies to U.S. citizens only. Once I realized the issue, I tried contacting him multiple times and didn’t get a response. A quick follow-up explaining the limitation and next steps would have prevented a lot of stress. Instead, I had to call support to escalate.Karen Wilson was superb. She took over once the issue escalated, made the process far less stressful, and worked hard to find a reasonable outcome. She even contacted CruisesOnly directly to advocate for me and try to get them to reconsider when I was understandably upset. If I ever booked online again, it would be because Karen salvaged the experience.Unfortunately, Princess denied any credit or goodwill, and CruisesOnly’s process directly led to this stressful situation. The core issue here is preventable: if you’re going to mention “birth certificate” as an option, the script needs a clear U.S.-citizen disclaimer and the agent should confirm status upfront. Not every caller is going to understand the edge cases around travel documentation.Overall: booking support was poor, escalation handling by Karen was excellent, and the cruise line’s response prioritized policy over customer retention.

Initial booking for three went smoothly, but when I had to cancel one reservation, it took quite a bit of time to coordinate with NLC to get refund. Had to wait twice for about 30 minutes each to get refund properly recorded.
