This place is not up to the standard that you charge for your units. There are lights burnt out and service garage door is broken and the exit door does not stay open without a stick in it.During a move in move or out everything has to go in or out through the regular size door (that doesn't stay open). The convenience items (carts) are not convenient because half of them are broken and do not roll properly.I would not recommend this facility. Many other options available in the area that are better and less expensive.

I paid for a climate-controlled unit, but the air conditioner was not working this summer. No one notified me; instead, I discovered it when visiting my storage unit. The male office worker was very "rude" and "unprofessional" when I questioned him about how long the air conditioning had been inoperable and when he expected it to be repaired. No apology for the air conditioner not working; instead, his tone and demeanor were unprofessional. I reminded him that I was paying for climate control.Upon moving out of the unit, the elevator in the rear building was inoperable. Therefore, I was not able to retrieve my belongings. I called on the Monday following the projected move-out to inform the office that I had attempted to move my belongings, but the elevator was broken. The male office representative informed me that my payment was now past due. I explained that it would not have been past due if I were able to move out my belongings. I did confirm that I would return before the end of the week to move my items, but it would be closer to the end of the week. On Friday during that week, I came to move items as promised. However, as I started to go up to my storage, the elevator stopped working. There were a couple of gentlemen moving items, and they mentioned that the elevator seemed to be acting a bit "wonky" while using it. Now, it was not working at all. We contacted the male office manager to alert him. Again, he was very disrespectful to me, and he was very defensive. He stated that the elevator was not part of the contract, so I could use the stairs to move my things. I did not. Instead, I stated that I would return the following day.On Saturday, I returned, but my storage unit had been locked for nonpayment. Again, the male office representative's tone was condescending and disrespectful. I reminded him that I spoke with him at the beginning of the week, and that my items were not moved because the elevator was not working. He acknowledged speaking with me. Yet again, it appeared from his harsh tone that he wanted me to take accountability for his error of locking up my belongings. During Saturday's move, the elevator again became inoperable, and I was still not able to move my belongings. I informed the male office representative that I would return at the end of the week.Because of the poor treatment I received, I contacted the national customer service number to report the store representative's mistreatment. I was told by the telephone customer representative that they would forward a message to the district manager, Michael Jones. Although the message on his voicemail stated we value your call, I cannot confirm they value me as a customer because I left two messages, and he never returned my call. Therefore, I was able to reach the store manager, whom I had initially attempted to contact; however, the call routed me to the national customer service office.Nearly two weeks after I attempted to move, I was finally able to retrieve my belongings. The store manager was able to arrange access for me to collect my belongings from the storage. Because I had to pay the initial movers their guaranteed rate of two hours minimum, I decided to move my things into my business storage in the other building until I could recoup funds to pay for another move.Unfortunately, I still have to spend another $300 for my items to be moved from my business storage. How frustrating that the representative at this location lacked empathy and concern when CubeSmart was at fault. I recognize that they could not anticipate challenges with the elevator. However, it was the gaslighting and disrespect from the store representative that was disturbing. I suggest they remove the elevator access message that they advertise as a feature, particularly since the representative made it clear that it was not part of the contract. More importantly, I was informed by my neighbor, who works for the DOJ, that this may have been a code violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Because I have a documented disability, I cannot be told that I must use the stairs to access the facility. To be continued with code enforcement...

This is the 2nd time we have used Cube Smart Self Storage at this location. The facility is well managed and kept clean. They also sell boxes and other moving supplies which makes it convenient when those oddly shaped items need a container! We would use Cube Smart over any other storage company!
