I chose to terminate my lease and vacate the unit because the recent price increase felt arbitrary and unjustified. The adjustment came across as a revenue tactic rather than a transparent, value-based change. It created a lack of trust and gave the impression that long-term customers were being leveraged to offset vacant units. That experience ultimately led me to move my business elsewhere.
