My roommate and I each rented a 10x10 unit. We both paid the same rate. My unit came with a massive concrete pillar in the middle of it that was not noted at the time of rental. When I asked the manager on site about it, I got a shrug and a dismissive excuse about irregular size. No discount, no apology. My roommates unit has been fine, but the pretending a 4ft diameter pillar in a 10x10 unit is nothing to worry about is ridiculous.

It was very easy getting a unit online. There was a little mix up when we were assigned the unit but they called right away and let us know we would still have the same size and first floor when we got there.

The specific location is really challenging: it shares a parking lot with at least 4 or 5 other businesses so parking is extremely limited. There are only 2 designated spots for Cubesmart customers. Many of the storage units have massive 1.5’ x 1.5’ poles in them that make the units not true to size. (My 10’ x 5’ unit had a square 1-2 feet taken out because of the pole.) It’s extremely disingenuous that that wasn’t mentioned when I made the reservation - that should be much clearer so people get what they think they’re paying for

You bait and switch. Get in at a price then raise it a few months later. You know everything is moved in and it would be a pain to move it again.
