Good in terms of accessibility, ease of use etc,. Bad in terms of seeking to jack up the price after a few months.

The place is like a huge maze. It's very hard to find your way around. The maps provided are so small the numbers on the spaces are not even legible. When you're running such a large space in an automated way, at a minimum you need to provide good PDF maps AND post them on the premises.

The location, size, cleanliness and ease of use at the CubeSmart location i used (Red Hook, Brooklyn on Lorraine St.) was great, but what impressed me the most was the staff. Every staff member i encountered, every time i visited, was friendly, helpful, professional and completely competent. This transformed the overall vibe of a usually-sterile business and soulless, imposing building into a warm and welcoming community. i gave 9 stars instead of 10 because the rent increases (PLURAL) were swift, frequent, and high -- i was in the space for about 18 months total, and the monthly rate **MORE THAN DOUBLED** during that time, over 3+ rate increases; the first increase occurred less than 5 months after our move-in date. Renter beware; they do not publish the schedule nor amount of any of the incremental increases until your stuff is already safely ensconced in the unit for a few months, and then you'll get a rent increase notice a month or 2 before it happens. However, the floor staff is not responsible for these rate increases, and since they were so great, i would recommend CubeSmart overall.
