We appreciated the convenience of CubeSmart's location and the friendly and helpful staff. We did notice fees kept increasing on what seemed like a regular basis (quarterly?) and that was one aspect we did not like about CS. But we would still recommend the Butler Street location to anyone looking for self storage.

Inconsistent billing. As a long term customer I was charged $74 a month so a locker that you charged $15 for to a new person. That's an insane spread. So I moved to a different location, paid 2 years in advance, and saved $1440. I would have easily kept my place at a more reasonable rate. So you just lost over $1K by over charging me.

Initially my experience was good. However, over time my rent was raised by a large percentage, multiple times, with little warning and no other options. Additionally, customer service greatly declined and I was no longer able to get the front desk to answer the phone during regular hours. I am leaving to another storage unit company with more competitive prices and more reliable customer service.

I was charged an unauthorized amount. I clearly stated that I did not authorize this charge. Despite this, the staff pretended not to hear me on the phone and processed the charge anyway. I have written email proof in which I explicitly stated that I do not give permission for this charge. The charge was for a lock, even though I live only five minutes away and offered to bring my own lock. This situation is unacceptable. As a result, I have decided to move out.

The location at 313 butler street is the most ghetto location in the WORLD. The “manager” is RUDE. Their system is always “down” and the ceiling is crumbling onto things that were in my unit. Not to mention the price goes up every 3 months not by a reasonable amount ALMOST BY 200-300$ every month. This is wack and not worth the money. It’s always something literally you could be having the worst day of your life and a storage unit here will be your 13th reason to commit.
