Security is too lacking. The people gate is standing open about 50% of the time I come to the property. Since we have a trailer parked in a space on the lot it creates anxiety since anyone could simply walk right in and gain free access to the parked vehicles and trailers. NOT GOOD. To take this issue one step further, the gate itself can be easily opened even when locked by simply using a stick off the ground to lift the door handle on the inside. Your lot is simply not secure at all.

Arrived at unit and it was not clean. Office attendant said she didn’t want to clean it. Provided a new unit (more paperwork). Upon review the new unit was a smaller size (same price). Had to return to office and discuss. Attendant said fine I’ll clean the initial unit. Which then created a third round of paperwork. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional.

The facilities itself were good. However, the number of flatbeds used to transport items to and from the storage areas was often inadequate.The office manager needs to walk the premises more often. An elevator was out for at least 4 days. There was a dirty diaper left in one of the hallways and stayed there for at least 3 days.

I have not yet used cubesmart. I tried to set up my account payment online multiple times and there was a problem with the system. I called 3 times and was advised to go to the location to set it up. That is why this account is being closed. I will open another on the 2nd.

Ever since CubeSmart bought the North Shallowford location from Extra Space, costs have gone up and service down hill. There was always something wrong: a security gate would be stuck open, elevators not working (sometimes inspection out of date for over a year). No one in the office during office hours. And worst of all, I can't get a human on the phone when I need help. I have to leave a message and hope someone calls me back. The explanation is, "business plan". This was not what I contracted for. Finally, I get a postcard that says my rent is going up to $250 for a 10 x 10 space. That was the last straw. I found a storage location that was closer to me, same size, on a ground floor (no elevator needed), the office is staffed during posted office hours and a human picks up the phone and checks on our account. Or they are available to help when asked. All for LESS than $200. That decision was really clear.Good luck, CubeSmart. I left because your business model is behind your competitors.
