I would say everything was fine. It was easy to rent the space and access was sufficient. There was nothing that stood out, except that one time we couldn't find a cart anywhere. (It wasn't that all the carts were being used -- we walked all over the facility and couldn't find one cart.) All things being equal, I wouldn't not recommend CubeSmart, but in experience, cost and location are the deciding factors for self-storage, and this worked for me for the time I needed it.

I had a few concerns with access but management was always very responsive.

Storage space is poorly lit and since the doors so not work properly the door is always open leading to birds getting into the space and crapping on items in units since the top is not enclosed. This also makes me uneasy about going to the space alone after dark.

The company works with you before auctioning your personal belongings.

My rates were raised 20% which I could not afford. At the same time they were also advertising the same size unit for $6 less than I was paying before the 20% increase. The main front door has been broken for the last three plus years. I pay for conditioned space but the garage style front door was opened all day. My unit was near the front. I was not allowed to store my mattress but one is stored in the hall way next to the emergency exit. There is trash all over inside and out. The back loading dock doors-2 were left open at night when I came to move out and the walk in door with code was held open with a bed frame. I watched what looked like a homeless man climb in thru the loading dock doors while I was there. Both the front loading area and loading dock area are full of boxes delivered by Amazon, Fed Ex and UPS. I saw two deliveries myself and they had there own code to get in. Some kind of depot drop off. Several moving trucks parked in front of the building making it difficult to park and visit your unit. The lights in the halls were on but the the over head light were always off making it very difficult to see inside your unit with out a flashlight. The location is next door to the thrift store Unique which made it a night mare to drive in and get out of the parking area. I moved to another storage facility for $175 a month less at a much better location.

The manager of the faculty was very helpful. He made an effort when I first arrived to get me oriented and it made the move in very easy.
