Difficult to cancel storage unit. Would like to be able to virtually.

Previous management was incompetent. Current management is excellent

nothing was set up correctly when we arrived leaving. A signed unit was already taken. No one was at the front desk, so we had to return during another day to try get it sorted. bad front desk. inside of the storage unit had a giant pole for building structure which took up about a foot and a half from the floor to the ceiling of my 5x5 unit.

Cube Smart Golden, CO Mngr. always very helpful. Goes out of his way to do a favor if he can.Facility is always clean and well organized.Mngr is always very friendly.

Overall my experience with Cube Smart was good. I marked it down a bit for poor communication. I spoke to Carlos the onsite manager once and he was very helpful. After selling my house I reserved a unit for May 25th to store my stuff until I found a place to live. As it turned out I found a place that day and diverted my belongings to the house I rented. I called that day and left a message that I would not be moving into the storage unit rented. The next day I talked to Carlos and he said he would cancel the reservation. Recently I received a bill for first month's rent and I called to leave a message that I never moved in and asked for a return call, but never received one. Other than the lack of communication on this, my overall experience was satisfactory and I would make a reservation again if I ever needed a storage unit.

While the staff was very nice and the location is convenient, I am giving a low score because my unit was so dirty. Leaves, dirt, and dust really built up over time and when I moved out I spent a lot of time cleaning and washing everything I own. I do not remember having this much dirt blowing into my unit on my previous storage place. These units need to be sealed better.

CubeSmart in Golden provided great service and well maintained facilities. I moved out because the rental rate escalated.
