The manager at this property is hard-nosed and short sighted. I had planned to store here for two years. I explained on day one I ID NOT want the suresmart program. He told me to email my insurance when I got home. I did that, then he said I had to be in person to "sign-off". I cam by on three seprate days and the office was always locked. I meialed and there was zero rpely for ~10 days. I don't have to do either of those things per the agreement language and terms, I only need to opt-out. So....I reported the facility to the consumer affairs division in virginia, moved all of my stuff out to public storage, and still got my money refunded. I will be sure to express my opinions on public reviews as well. Was the $16 worth it? Dark patterns are tacky and they say a lot about the culture of a corporation. Life is rough enough. Don't be scummy about nabbing $16 from customers just because most of yours are not as elastic as I am. Nearly $1600 in revenue lost, not counting missed business from bad reviews, all over a $16 up-sell. Not smart.

Superb onboarding, clean and well-kept facility, excellent service, offered and accepted a one-year rental option to lock in the initial price without increases.
