Things can get complicated if you’re not talking to the right person behind the desk. CubeSmart has some really great employees, but there are one or two bad apples who treat customers poorly.

The staff was very professional and nice to me upon getting my storage and Everytime I called, they were there and answered the phone and was knowledgeable about any question that I had. The facility itself was super clean.

Facility is clean and well-maintained. but you raise the rent too often and too much. And every time I went in to the office, there was new staff, who were uniformly unhelpful and unable to answer questions.

I used CubeSmart in New Braunfels and was very happy, so when I moved to Houston I sought out the nearest CubeSmart for my storage needs. When I secured a unit at the store located at 1202 Shepherd Dr. I gave them my Houston address, as I had moved from New Braunfels. Over the course of the past 5 years the people at the store have consistently sent mail to the New Braunfels address, even after repeated trips to the store and watching the clerk enter the Houston address. The last straw was when my rates increased dramatically without notice. When I called the store at 1202 Shepherd and asked why, I was told a notice was sent to my New Braunfels address. Frustrated, I asked why that address was still on my account and the person could not tell me. When I asked about the rate change, I was given a flippant answer, basically saying it is what it is. When I threatened to take my business elsewhere the gentleman I was speaking with simply reminded me to ensure I had all my belongings out of the unit before I let them know I was leaving.None of these actions speak to customer care or customer engagement.

The staff was wonderful in helping us secure, maintain and vacant a storage unit. We lived out of state. They had helpful advice, always responded promptly and we never had concerns due to their care and attention.
