Cost! The rental price kept increasing every year. June 2021 $171; May 2022 $192; June 2023 $216; May 2025 $300; Apr 2026 $345. At some point it is simply unaffordable. I would have left in May of 2025 but it is such a big job to move I delayed, but when it increased again I had to say enough, found a replacement for $164 (same size but on the bottom floor vs on the upper floor with CubeSmart).

The hours are horrible, not even open on Sundays! It should be open 24/7. The hours make it where you have to take off work to even use it!

When I started renting a storage space at Cube Smart the 5’x7’ unit that I was renting only cost like $40. It was a reasonable and affordable price. The storage company was Storage West at that time. Once Cube Smart bought out Storage West the fort thing they did was start raising the prices. It seems every several months the prices go up, which is ridiculous. For the same unit CubeSmart now want $101. On top of that a few months ago I went to get some stuff out of my unit, which is on the second floor, and the elevator was broken and there was no one there to talk to about the problem. When I would call the office no one would answer the phone and I never received a call back when I left a message. Finally my husband and I went to the unit on a Saturday and was able to catch someone there and literally had to retrieve my items and had to carry them down the stairs bc even though it had been well over a month, the elevator still was not working. Ridiculous!! After calling and complaining several times, I think I was given a one time $25 credit!!
