Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced on planet Earth. Besides the fact that you increased storage unit rent for an active duty military service member by 150% in only 4.5 years, trying to get anyone on the telephone who was competent was actually impossible. THEN trying to escape from this contract proved equally as hard. I tried to closeout in the office on a Saturday and naturally, the office manager decided to just leave and put a sign on the door at 1100am, so I had to call the central line. This gentleman assured me he would close the account and take me off autopay and yet only a few days later, I get a notice for the next month and my account will be charged again. The incompetence is astounding. I don't know how Hyattsville will even stay in business when the majority of the outdoor units around mine were completely empty with no tenants. Maybe increasing rent at an average of 23% per year in one of the poorest areas in the state of Maryland isn't a good business model.

This facility in hyattsville is a huge mess with an incompetenet, rude and do-nothing manager and the district manager is even worse. I rented this unit back on February 26, 2026. The on-site manager or at least what she calls herself is Jonae Tillman. I paid for a monthly rental which included a setup charge of $29 and insurance and a lock for the storage unit. She was supposed to put a lock inside my unit for use when I brought my stuff. She had not and made us wait for 2 hours in the cold feb nite. When I called support they conferenced her in and she started lying about handing me the lock and key. I asked her to pull the video footage, but she was clearly lying. The call center support knew that she was lying. She never did apologize or say that she may have messed up. She is unprofessional, uncourteous, arrogant and an uncouth individual. Even when I cancelled the storage unit, she did not come over to inspect and provide me with a clear notice. Instead I had to talk to national customer support to tell them that I was done with the rental. The district manager is another specimen that is rude, irrational and uncouth to say the least. He was bossing me around even after I told him about Jonae Tillman. I am through with cubesmart. I will go with uhaul next time I need storage. Atleast they have better policies and certainly better people behind the desks.

The experience has been mostly good so far, since we just moved in last night. There were a couple of issues that weren't huge but presented challenges after spending a few hours packing and moving.1. We could not exit the parking lot from the exit. We drove as close as we could to the gate, and it never opened. We had to drive around to the entrance. One of us jumped out of the car and put in the entrance code while the other one drove out. This would have been hard if I were alone.2. The online info indicated that the location would be open until 10 p.m., but there was no one around at 7.Otherwise, everything else is fine. The space was clean and included a welcome bag and other information as I was told.

The experience was really nice management were really respectful and responded efficiently. The storage was really clean just the bathrooms need a bit more work but besides that it was awesome. The only reason I’m leaving from this location is because I loved so I decided to go to the CubeSmart near where I live.

Although the storage unit was great, I've been with you guys for a minute and the prices just kept going up. For a un-climate controled unit $120 was just too much.

I am very pleased with the service we have received, and the help in closing the unit when we are located so far away. Will definitely be back for holiday season to rent a unit!
