I selected zero because my storage unit was broken into twice within an eight-month period, and despite reporting both incidents promptly and providing police reports and insurance claim documentation, I received no meaningful assistance or accommodation from CubeSmart management—financial or otherwise.As a result of these two burglaries, I suffered thousands of dollars in personal property losses, much of which was not covered by insurance. Beyond basic procedural responses, there was no proactive outreach, no rent credit, no concession, and no effort made to offset the significant disruption and financial harm I experienced while renting a unit that was marketed as secure.Due to the repeated security failures and lack of support, I ultimately vacated the unit because I no longer felt comfortable storing anything of value at the facility.Given these circumstances, I am requesting a credit for the entire year of rent paid during the period in which these incidents occurred. This request reflects both the loss of value of the service provided and the material financial hardship I incurred as a direct result of CubeSmart’s failure to provide a reasonably secure environment.I would welcome the opportunity to resolve this matter amicably and look forward to your response regarding how CubeSmart intends to address this issue.
