The staff is amazing, however the continued jump in price was what drove me away. If the price was consistent and stayed the same as when I first got it and then I would have the same unit to this day and for the far future.

Management team was awful, unaccommodating and hardly ever available. Constant price increases with increasingly worse service. Payment options were pitiful regardless of which method you used to pay. Every time I tried to pay it was an issue. Was charged an “insufficient funds” fee when I made a payment through the mobile app with a bank account with plenty of money in it to pay the monthly bill. A $30 fee added to my monthly bill for CUBE SMARTS ERROR. Zero recourse for the mistake. Asked to have the fee waived since it was Cine Smarts error and all I was told was that you only accept full payments which is total BS. Would recommend literally any storage facility over Cube Smart to anyone that is looking. Please stop with the “#1 voted storage customer service team” nonsense. It’s hilarious coming from a company like Cube Smart with zero customer service skills from top to bottom. Employees to managers to corporate staff you all suck at customer service it’s honestly pathetic. Cube smart is not very smart after all.

It's difficult to get a live person on the phone. Also, I received an email that said my unit was cleaned out. I had no idea what they were talking about. Why would they clean my unit out? I wasn't behind on payment and I have a lot of special things in that storage unit. It took me a half hour to get through just to leave a message. Someone called me back about a half hour later to flippantly say that the message was sent in error ... that someone in the Mission Viejo office had cleaned out my same unit # there (I am in the Lake Forest location). I was furious! I asked her why no one would call me and apologize for the error? I was stressed out thinking that they cleared out my unit for no reason. She had absolutely no understanding of customer service. I keep receiving emails as if I'm not using the unit anymore. Isn't there any way to stop that process?! CubeSmart is trying to automate like a big corporation, but with absolutely no manpower behind it when a problem happens. I am extremely unhappy and will absolutely not recommend CubeSmart to anyone. I will also try to move to another storage company after the holidays.
